Not what I expected August 21, 2001 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
I read the other reviews on this book and thought I would check it out from the library first-am very glad I did!! It was not worth buying. It had too many ingredients in the recipes, recipes were not any good. I did like her ideas about a planned night for dinner such as stir fry night, mexican, cooks choice etc. I reccomend checking it out first.
This book changed our lives April 6, 1999 I was not a good cook prior to buying this book. I bought it because I wanted to start cooking for my family, but I really only knew how to cook chicken and pork. This book was great because it showed me how to shop as well as plan a diverse menu for the whole week. I love it!!!!!!!!
Lots of delicious recipes that are easy to prepare January 22, 1999 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've cooked several of the recipes and they all have been excellent and so easy to prepare. I highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who enjoys eating but doesn't want to spend a lot of time shopping or cooking.
Excellent, I've recommended it to most of my friends. December 6, 1998 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
A great book. I'm so busy with work that I've found it difficult to stay organized with meal planning. I often was resorting to frozen dinners or fast food for my family. This cookbook taught me a simple way to always be ready to prepare my family a nice home-cooked meal.
A wonderful reference for planning and preparing dinner. October 26, 1998 Features: Weekly menu planner, shopping list for each recipe, suggested side dishes, guide to pantry staples, and reduced-fat main dishes for each day of the week. Each chapter has a theme to elininate boredom (Stir-fry Night, Pasta Night, Fun Night, etc.) and recipes the whole family will enjoy such as Hungry Boy Cheeseburgers,Tunnel of Spuds Meatloaf, Kitchen Sink Lasagna, Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken
