Amazon.com Review The most recognized periodical of American sports, Sports Illustrated has proved to be a fine marriage of top journalism (from the likes of Frank Deford, Paul Zimmerman, and Rick Reilly) and eye-popping photography since 1954. Cover stories range from the week's top games to a retrospective of the legends of yesteryear and their imprint on today's competition. In each issue, "Inside the Week in Sports" keeps the fan in touch with the major sports news, while "Scorecard" offers SI's spin on the week. Fans are always eager to dive into SI's hefty preview issues, a must-have primer for upcoming college and pro sport seasons, including the Olympics. What else would a sports fan want? OK, SI's infamous swimsuit issue arrives faithfully each winter. --Doug Thomas

Great and Informative Magazine September 29, 2008 I send this to my nephew every year as a gift and he shares with all of his friends. They really like to see this magazine come. You see, he and his friends are in prison and usually do not have current information on sports. So this is a blessing to all of them!
It meets a need September 15, 2008 I subsribe to 3 sporting magazines. ESPN, Sporting News, and Sports Illustrated. ESPN is too flashy and in your face for me. Sporting News is a quick informative read of games / leagues / teams. Sports Illustrated is mored informative than either of the above magazines, however it tends to take itself too seriously. Each issue has one story that just seems to go on and on forever. The magazine has lowered its price and is well worth the money.
Mr. O. September 1, 2008 Sports Illustrated (1-year) EXCELLENT! FANTASTIC! FOR ANY TYPE OF SPORTS ENTHUSIAST!
Sports Ilustrated subscription March 10, 2008 I have always wanted a subscription to Sports Illustrated but found the cost prohibitive. But then Amazon came through with an amazing deal - I couldn't pass it up, plus I had a coupon. Sports Illustrated has the most amazing photographs and their stories are tops - I'm very satisfied.
Great Insight to the Sports World February 25, 2008 Having not been a subcriber to SI in a while I was pleasantly surprised in the magazine articles and magazine format. They have more smaller articles and statistics rather for the busy reader who doesn't have time to read multipage articles.
One disappointment: I was bummed not to see Rick Riely's articles at the back of the magazine anymore.
