4 out of 5 stars Nice gift   October 25, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Got this as a gift for my mom who just took up painting. She called to say she got two issues at once, which isn't great because you pay a hefty price for only 6 months of issues and she got one third of the gift at once. She said it's neat and there are a lot of things she's never seen before like names of brush strokes and styles. She excited, so I'm excited. Just wished the first issue would have come sooner.

5 out of 5 stars watercolor lover   June 12, 2008
I love this magazine. A friend gave me some of hers when I wasn't aware of this magazine. It is an artist's best friend.

5 out of 5 stars great for budding artists   May 29, 2008
I got two copies...one for my senior in HS who just got accepted into art teacher education college and the other to send to my older daughter who is finishing art school. A great deal!

5 out of 5 stars Makes a GREAT gift!!!   February 15, 2008
In the rush of the holidays, I stumbled upon this mag subscription on Amazon. After a quick preview, I sent subscriptions to both my college-aged sister and a middle-aged friend. Both are art lovers & really enjoy getting their newest issues. This is a great resource for beautiful pictures, easy how-to articles, and creative artistic techniques. I also found that it is a great value for the price, and a super easy way to send a gift anywhere in the USA. I am very pleased with this magazine & will continue to recommend it to artists of all levels. Very good stuff. Even if you just buy it for the pics, it is well worth it. My sister is currently covering her apartment walls with many of the beautiful images. Good stuff!

5 out of 5 stars The Artist's Magazine   February 7, 2008
I was really suprised that the magazine came so fast. I really enjoy reading it, and it was about $40.00 off what it usually is. I quit getting it years ago because it was so expensive. I feel like I got a good deal.
