Great for kid's parties November 22, 2008 Earlier tonight, we gave this to our son for his 11th birthday. My son, his 3 friends, my 6yr old daughter, and I played for maybe 2 hrs. It's great.
I'm sooooooo glad there were several people - I needed the breaks between games to catch my breath. On a couple games, my legs were seriously burning. The boys (10 and 11) loved it, with mine carting maybe the favorite.
My 6 yr old was somewhat interested. The teamwork option is great - she's not getting wiped out by the big boys.
By the end of the time, the boys were keeping their feet more on the pads, so it doesn't take too long to get that figured out.
Let's see - he can sit there for an hour flexing his fingers with Super Smash Bros. Brawl or get running, jumping, and sweating...honestly, this game is a no brainer (especially when it's freezing outside).
Initial impression- not great. November 20, 2008 I am not really impressed with this game so far. I have played thru most of the games once or twice and they just weren't that fun. I enjoyed the wii board much more. The games are short and the graphics aren't that exciting. Geared much more for childeren I think. I just got it today, so, I am going to give it a few more tries over the weekend. I'll check back with my final opinion.
Great exercise and Great fun! November 19, 2008 This is a lot of fun and you will get a great workout playing it. There are a lot of different activities to keep things interesting. There are different workouts to choose from and each one gives you the time it takes to complete the activity and the type of workout you will receive. I highly recommend this.
Prepare to Sweat! November 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was a little worried about spending so much money on this game, but we love it! I LOVE Wii Fit but this is a nice complement, very different from Fit and also you have the chance to get a lot more upper body exercise. Other reviewers have detailed the games, I'll just say my kids' favorite is Mine Cart Adventure, I like Pipe Slider best, if you do it right your arms will burn!
The drawbacks are the mat can slide around a little from vigorous jumping, and you have to make sure you are hitting the right spot under your feet while looking at the screen. No big deal, and it's so nice to be able to JUMP and run, which you cannot do on the Fit board.
In addition, even if you love Fit, it is nice to be able to alternate days with other physical games so you don't get tired of any of them.
Body challenge and workout for all ages November 16, 2008 My son loves it and I have competed with him. This really does provide a workout for all ages. At 37 years old I should have stretched before racing. My muscles and bones are still feeling the aftermath of the challenge.
