Perfect, minus two little flaws June 5, 2008 This game is great. Works fine on Xp and Vista.
There are many customizable features. Including: - the amount houses and hotels - bail amount - maximum turns in jail - income tax amount - salary amount
You can enable or disable rules to: - forced auctions - auction to start game - double salary for landing on go - maximum amount of turns
The graphics, game play, game speed and controls are good. There is a complete history of the game. Several games can be saved. Player profiles for all the characters.
This is typically better than the board version. Game play is fast, there is no need for a banker .
Its just all-in-all a good game. However, I have two gripes with Monopoly Here and Now for PC.
1) To play the came the CD must be in the tray.
2) There is a maximum of 4 players, rather than 8 like most monopoly board versions.
Minus these two flaws this game is perfect.
PC Monopoly Game May 9, 2008 I bought this game and it was a good investment. If you like to play the board game, then you will love this game.I play this game for hours on end.I love the fact that you can customize the rules, which I always do.
Not a good edition May 7, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This game is most definitely fixed so the computer can't lose. My husband and I played this a few times and loved it, but then we noticed when we added computer players that they could not lose a game. They let me beat my husband, or vice versa, but each time the game got to the point where one of us owned the majority of properties with houses on each property, the computer players started rolling whatever they had to in order to never land on anything that would make them lose. We checked it extensively; played the game over 10 times and longer than three hours each time to make sure, and the computer players would go around the board over 150 times and EACH time land on only park place, go to jail, or community chest/chance, because our properties with houses were everywhere else. We finally just gave up the game because it's most definitely fixed so that they cannot lose. It's too bad, because it would have been a great game otherwise. We also noticed quite a few bugs in the game, including letting us view the board but not actually play when we saved a game.
Pretty Cool! March 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a pretty cool game. The only thing I don't like about is that you don't hear Mr. Monopoly's voice in here. But otherwise it's a fun game!
