Addicting November 19, 2008 When I first started playing this game I was def wowed. I still enjoy playing it very much. Right now for a price of [...] there is no reason why everyone should not have a copy of this game. Not quite perfect as rarely your ball will end up in a place that it wont be removed from, ie the woods or a bush. But other than that there are alot of multi-player games on this and then the campaign mode is a blast as you can adjust how many matches per competition. Get your hands on this game

Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf has always been a good game somewhat marred by a few questionable design choices on the part of Electronic Arts. Quirks like insanely expensive equipment; top of the line putters and such would often cost millions of in-game dollars or using in-game money to purchase abilities skewed the realism factor that the game offered.
Tiger '08 seeks to reverse that trend by offering a game that realistically builds your character through training and experience. Now the focus is less on winning money and more on getting that perfect tee shot or nailing a long put. In essence the focus is back on the golf and the the periphery.
Another excellent feature is the "EA Gameface" which will allow you to take a digital picture of yourself (or anyone else for that matter) and import it into the game. I found it great fun to see my own likeness teeing off against greats like Tiger Woods, Vijay Sighn, or Colin Montgomerie.
All of the features from a "next-generation" game are present here including, full online integration, breath-taking visuals and well implemented game modes that cover the gambit of golfing.
My only gripe with this game would be the steep learning curve. Veterans and newcomers alike will undoubtedly find Tiger '08 monstrously difficult at first. Simply making shots that stay on the fairway is challenging until you character has built enough experience points to become competitive. And while I have no problem with putting in the time the games difficulty absolutely nosedives after a point making the game almost too easy. Some balance here would've made the game more enjoyable.
All in all this is another great gold game that continues to impress year after year.

This is the first and last time I buy a golfing game for my brother, the graphics is average. The controls may take an 20 minutes to an 1/2 hour to learn the basics of how to putt perfectly. Overall the game is not for me to play because you will need some patience and lots of pratice to play the game.
ok game August 10, 2008 Nice game, but the default control mechanism sucks. Every time, I have to change it to the 3-click method. Also, my thumb isn't used to 3-click, so I think it would be easier to play the game with a mouse.
Tiger Woods 08 PS3 July 29, 2008 I purchased this game to play a friend online. This was the first game I have played online against someone on my PS3. It's great to play online, however inviting him to join a game can be tricky. I have to invite him. Then he leaves the room, and then joins back in. We may be doing something wrong, but we eventually get it going. The face creator feature is neat. You can create a character using a digital photo. It takes some time (10-15min) for it to create your face initially, but it's worth it. The Tiger challenges are tough, but it helps you to improve. Overall, I like the game and would recommend it.
