challenging but fun June 29, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I was introduced to Croc 2 by a very good friend of mine and has never regret playing it ever since. There are app. 4 worlds(I haven't beaten them all) to defeat and they are all made unique to fit into their enviroment. Though the games might get a little bit boring because you cannot beat one level or just one specific boss, it is a great something-to-do when you are bored. You have all those extra time on your hands and can try out your hand-eye cordination with Croc.
The graphics and music are great. Croc and the gobbos are made not intricately, as expected, but made sloppily. Which gives it a cute look to everything. (Even the Dantins). The music is also probably one of the reasons I love the game so much. It's made to fit into each world that Croc goes through. Or situation for that matter.
The reason that this game got four was because of the controls. Croc might unexpectedly run into a Dantini or pit of buring lava when you are not careful about where he goes. The default controls are terrible and will take forever to master. The second set of controls, is much better. I do not know WHY the creators of Croc 2 did not make the other one it's default.
Overall, I loved this game, and still do. It's definately worth most of your money, if not all.
Good, but rather frustrating March 18, 2005 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Definately a good game, but rather difficult to handle the controls. Croc has a tendency to move in directions that you had no intention or desire to send him, consiquently killing himself, and making you so absolutely frustrated that you are rather glad to see him fall to a fiery death. Other than that, I absolutely love the game, Croc is just as cute, and the Dantinies are just as evil. If not more so. The levels are a bit more plush and scenic than the first one, I guess that coming from the advancement and upgrade of technology. And the interaction with the Gobbo's leaves nothing to be desired. If you like listening to little furballs squeak at you constantly. Other than that, this game is fun, just a bit more difficult than the first, but otherwise a good way to spend leftover time.
Way too hard April 17, 2002 0 out of 4 found this review helpful
This game is really hard. The gameplay is fun but I couldn't beat it. I passed the boat race and the level where the key is in the cave. The other levels are too hard because of platforms and boxes exp- loding or falling apart. To win the boat race, you have to go through the waterfall. To get a golden gobbo in the other part, there are color crystals in many wierd places that were very hard to get to. One is in a secret cave after the first bee. One is on a tree that you have to push a box and triple jump to get to. I don't even know how to get to a boss. Some levels have color crystals that I don't think are possible to get to. Overall, this is a fun game but too hard. Pros:Fun Cons:Too hard and never stopping.
Fun Game, Bad Game Play! December 24, 2001 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
When I started playing this game it was fun. But when i got farther in the 1st level it got really annoying because of the stupid camera angles. It was so easy to lose directions i almost broke the computer. Stay away from this Game.
Fun and challenging February 11, 2001 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Quite innocent fun can be expected from this game. The little characters are adorable and the game has many different levels within levels. It can get frustrating at times, but I guess all games are like that. It has a cartoonish flavor and has so much variety in the levels and missions, but it can get boring when you find yourself stuck in one level for too long.
