3 out of 5 stars needs competition   February 26, 2010
K. Sharkey (Southeast Pa.)
I have played every TW game since they have been on the market. They are all fun but inconsistent. I just got done what I thought was the last round in the fedex format but it only shows that I am 75 percent complete. I have played the fedex format twice and it keeps showing 75 percent complete, I don't know what the problem is. I was on the 15th hole -31 Sabbatini was in the clubhouse finished at
-33. At the end of the 17th hole I was -32 and somehow Sabbatini who was done in the clubhouse at -33 was now -35 how the hell did that happen. 16th hole 12 mile wind in my face marker says 9 iron will put me 5 yards in front of pin I use the 9 iron come up 20yards short. OK next time same conditions 9 iron will put me 5 yards in front of pin this time I use an 8 iron because of the 12 mph wind. Ball flys over the green, what the hell.I also noticed that if you start out to good in a round, all of a sudden that great putting touch you had at the beginning of the round goes away later in the round. I can go on and on about the inconsistencies about this game but you get the point. This game is fun and teases you just enough that it makes you want to keep on playing. But the biggest purpose of the TW games is to make you keep buying it year after year. Keep it fun and tease the customers enough to make them think they are one shot away from the ultimate game and they will buy it year after year. When you are the only golf game out there that is not cartoonish like the others they will keep on coming back I know I will because their is no other video golf game out there that offers serious and fun competition like TW Golf.

Tiger Woods should develop a game with Rockstar where he crashes escalades and finds new hos. Check it out here [...]

5 out of 5 stars So realistic!!!   February 19, 2010
Indraneel Bhattacharyya (San Diego, CA)
I'm a big fan of golf and I love to get out and play when I get a chance. Playing this game is like a cheap way of getting on the course! I got the Wii Motion Plus also, which I think really enhances the game (I haven't played it without) but I'm assuming it would be a much worse experience.

The game is a lot of fun - much more engaging than just playing it on PS3 or something, but a game does take a lot longer than on a "regular" system because you find yourself taking practice swings and stuff, which take time. When I play w/friends, we make a rule that you can only take one practice swing, or else the game would take as long as real golf!

Overall, great game. Wish I could play more often. I think it's actually making me a better golfer!

5 out of 5 stars Close to Real Golf   February 16, 2010
seamonkey10 (st. louis, mo)
I get tired fast of most of my Wii games. The Wii is fun when I have friends and family over, but I rarely play the Wii by myself.

This is a game I'll actually play every now and then by myself. The swing motion is more like authentic golf instead of the tap-tap-tap style of golf on the other Tiger Woods titles. The more accurate swing is nice, but there's one thing that's not actually measured and that's how you address the ball. In real golf, I top the ball, hit behind it, etc. but in this game if you have a straight swing, you're all good.

The party games are fun to play with friends, and frisbee golf is worth a try for something different.

Is it like real golf? - Not exactly
Is it the closest thing you can get to real golf on a console? - absolutely
So If you like golf, or have a golfing friend or relative who likes golf, this is a good title to have for a quick virtual 18

5 out of 5 stars If you love golf, you'll love this game...   February 14, 2010
Austock
Tiger Woods 2010 is finally a game where if you know how to actually swing a club, you'll be better than a person that is good at clicking buttons. If you have the Motion Control Plus for your Wii, it makes this game as real as a video game can get. Everything in this game just works like a charm. I love it and I highly recommend it to any person looking for the real golf feel out of a video game. Even if you're not, this is just a fun game.
