Not as sturdy as it looked, and larger than expected. November 19, 2008 There is nothing inherently wrong with this bag, but I ended up returning it. The "wasabe" color was much brighter than in the picture, more like a raw avocado, and the bag felt large for my computer even though the size was "small."
Also, it's very lightweight, which is probably a bonus for many people, but I was going to use it on my commuter bicycle and I think if it fell off onto the street there would be little to no protection.
A tight-fitting notebook carrier from REI ended up being exactly what I needed. It had full body shock protection and a robust outer ballistic nylon material.
Nice For What It Is September 6, 2008 ... and what it is is basically a glorified laptop sleeve. The bag is very small and only has room for my laptop - a 14" Sony Vaio - although it does have a zippered compartment I found that I could only stick a few papers and a pen in there without creating major stretching. The two handles are sewn together, which I personally don't care for. On the plus side, there is a strap inside that goes across your laptop and since the sides are formed instead of flat, there's more protection and stability if you plan on carrying the bag around.
Good value! May 12, 2008 I researched a number of laptop sleeves for price, looks, degree of protection, and portability. This is the one I finally ordered, and I'm glad I did. The price is very moderate, and the sleeve is cool-looking. More importantly, the sleeve seems well enough constructed to save the laptop from small-to-moderate bumps and falls. Also, it fits neatly into my briefcase. Five-star value!
OGIO Brain Bucket is a winner! January 7, 2008 This is a nice lightweight laptop bag. Very simple and clean lines. It is also priced very well. I recommend it highly!
Ogio brain bucket mini is a no-brainer for protecting your laptop on the go! November 22, 2006 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is really a laptop slipcase which you would insert into a larger bag while travelling, or you would use it for short trips in your car for example. I have looked at many laptop sleeves in stores. The brain bucket's padding is among the best. Perhaps only the Sumdex memory foam slipcase could offer more protection.
The brain bucket mini has quality construction and light, weighing in under one pound! It fits my work Dell Latitude D600 14.1" screen perfectly and offers very good protection. The side pocket accomodates the Dell power supply and a slim binder. Although the literature says it will fit most 14" and 15" laptops, it was about 1/2" too small for my wife's 15.4" widescreen Vaio laptop. If you have a 15.4" widescreen slipcase, then look at the regular size brain bucket.
I would have given this bag a rating of 5 stars, but I deducted one star because it does not have a detachable shoulder strap. I would also have liked a zippered side pocket to prevent objects from slipping out - but thats asking too much.
