Good Quality and Good Price January 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was a bit bigger than i realized but it's excellent. No shoulder strap so not the most convenient for travel with just some handles but I bought it as protection for my laptop. It does a very good job, no scratches or anything. Good product overall.
Very Good. December 13, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Okay, first of all I want to disagree with the review that said this is a slipcase. Slipcases can usually fit into another messenger bag or book bag and would really only help to protect the laptop from scratching. This bag would only realistically fit into a luggage bag, it's pretty big. You can lug this thing around; it provides as good protection as any other laptop briefcase or bag. I have used this to carry around my 15.4 laptop around campus, and it does pretty well. The front pocket fits laptop accessories as well as a notebook or smallish textbook. Biggest downside is that it doesn't have a detachable shoulder strap, just a handle. This thing gets fairly heavy after a while - laptop and all - especially since it's built for larger laptops - upto 17 inch.
Protects my 17" widescreen Toshiba laptop at a no-brainer price! November 22, 2006 This is really a laptop slipcase which you would insert into a larger bag while travelling, or you would use it for short trips in your car for example. I have looked at many laptop sleeves in stores. The brain bucket's padding is among the best. Perhaps only the Sumdex memory foam slipcase could offer more protection.
The brain bucket has quality construction and light, weighing in just 12 ounces! It fits my Toshiba Satellite P100 17" widescreen desktop replacement laptop perfectly and offers very good protection on all sides. The side pocket accomodates the Toshiba power supply, a slim binder and an APC UPB60 external laptop battery. It has a padded velcro devider to use with smaller laptops, but I wouldn't use it for laptops smaller than 15.4" widescreen. If you have a smaller laptop, consider the Ogio brain bucket mini. I like the fact that the bag is vented. With the brain bucket unzipped, you can use your laptop while it sits inside for added protection.
I would have given this bag a rating of 5 stars, but I deducted one star because it does not have a detachable shoulder strap. I would also have liked an additional side pocket - but that's asking too much.
