great pillow December 12, 2008 wash is before you use it and it will puff up better. Very comy and compresses well.
Great Travel / Camping Pillow September 2, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for a recent trip to Europe, and it did great. The "pillow" the airline provided just wound up in the floor, and wasn't up to the task. I actually slept a decent amount on the flight over, using the thermarest pillow to lean against the window. I'm not sure how well it would do for an aisle/middle seat, though. I also kept it in my backpack for the rest of the trip and it was great for using in trains, buses, etc. If you end up using it in a hotel as an extra pillow, be careful not to forget it, as it is easy to lose sight of under sheets/covers.
I'm sure this would work out very well on a camping trip as well. It is very lightweight and worth its weight for the comfort it provides.
LOVE this pillow August 27, 2008 While the color of this product ("Meadow Green") is really not as attractive in real life as it is displayed on Amazon, the pillow itself is fantastic. It rolls up small, puffs up big, and I used it instead of the provided pillows in several hotels on a trip through Guatemala, simply because it was more comfortable. It feels lumpy by hand, but soft when laying one's head on it, and is also good on airplanes and buses! I liked the small size, but would consider a larger size in the future if I were to be camping in one place for a long period of time. I highly recommend it!
Great travel pillow August 22, 2008 I bought two of these for a recent trip. It was perfect for the long flights and was great to use as an extra pillow once we arrived at our destination. Once you unroll the pillow give it a little time to fluffy up. When you do it becomes nice and full.
Just the BEST August 9, 2008 The Thermarest Compressible Pillow is awesome! I bought the small size so it rolls into a package that measures about 11" x 4" (it rolls into itself). Once unrolled, it takes only a few minutes to fluff up into a soft, very comfy pillow. The compression-to-fluffed ratio is amazing. I'm not sure how Thermarest does it. I took this pillow on my travels in Mexico this summer and used on buses and planes. It's small enough to put into my carry-on backpack along with my travel blanket, which saved me from overly cold air conditioning on several occasions (I bought the Cocoon Coolmax Travel Blanket and recommend it too). The pillow is also comfortable enough to use as my main pillow in the hotels were I stayed. One last added bonus, the meadow green floral print is super cute. I am very pleased with this product.
