No better jacket for the money January 7, 2008
This is one of many Turfer items I have and I love them all. Good solid jacket, well made, generous fit.

Received coat with a missing inside pocket, looked like it was either torn out or never put in place. Not a big deal, but inside pocket would have been nice. Overall quality was good, nothing special. Coat was a bit less warm than I was expecting with only a thin lining. Color was a nice navy blue. Would recommend as a light weight coat that is traditionally styled and generally of good quality.

The jacket is awesome. Very light weight yet keeps you warm. Pockets are lined with the fleece material for added warmth. My only complaint is that you can't put it in the dryer so if your jacket gets soiled be sure you have a back up to wear while this one is line drying...

I bought this jacket for my son after purchasing a Turfer anorak and being impressed by the workmanship. I wasn't disappointed. It is well made, has a quality fleece, and sturdy zippers. It's a good windbreaker too. Not yet tested in wet conditions, but if it's like the anorak, it should do well; the material is similar. This is a medium weight jacket, not heavy enough for our more frigid and snowy days, but definitely warm enough as one descends into winter or for early spring. It's akin to Lands End Squall jacket or LLBean's Warm-up in weight and quality, but definitely at a better price. As for sizing, as I found with the anoraks, women should probably order a size down from their normal size; guys can stick with their regular size. Shipping is reasonably priced and very fast. Purchasing multiple items at one time saves on shipping costs, so keep that in mind if you're considering ordering more than one item.
