Golf Digest- Hits the Spot! January 11, 2008 146 out of 147 found this review helpful
No need for a long review here. If you like hitting a little white ball around in the grass, then this is your magazine. Chock full of info such as equipment reviews, instructional articles, tour news, golf-course ratings, as well as good photography, this is arguably the best of the best when it comes to golfing magazines. Golfers with bad shoulders might also be interested in Treat Your Own Rotator Cuff.
A great golf publication June 19, 2007 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I'm not a magazine person. I read very little in the way of magazines and don't subscribe to a single one, but I love reading Golf Digest. I have found many of the instructional articles, especially by the professionals (such as Tiger Woods) who write for the publication, to be very helpful and have tried to implement the techniques they've taught into my game. I have gotten many ideas for practice drills in the magazine as well, which has also helped me.
Golf Digest is about more than just the technicals of the game, however. It is about the lifestyle of golf. I love reading the articles on course design (Jack Nicklaus's are great) and enjoy the previews of the majors. I found the equipment reviews (the "Hot List") very helpful when shopping for a new putter and when trying various golf balls, and I love the articles profiling and ranking different golf courses around the country and around the world.
Golf Digest is one of the few magazines I can avidly read and actually enjoy--all without feeling that I'm wasting my time. The magazine is also quite bulky considering the reasonable price.
the big daddy April 10, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
GOLF DIGEST is the big daddy of a well-populated family of golf publications. It's self-styled tag line--'The #1 Golf Publication'--is well-earned.
Where other weeklies report the golfing *news*, GOLF DIGEST is a monthly celebration of golf as life, or at least of the golfing life. It's golf-star-celebrity-packed articles tend to wear titles in the imperative ('Don't Stretch Your Wedges'), giving the sense that the golf world is populated by feverish self-improvers.
Even those of us who are less than bent on links glory, the photography of this publication looks extraordinary. This aspect reaches its zenith during the magazine's frequent published admirations of the finer courses around the world.
No doubt about it, GOLF DIGEST is a lifestyle magazine as much as anything else. Yet the semi- to really-serious golfer will find its pages rich with suggestions on improving his or her game.
GOLF DIGEST anchors the world of English-language golfing publications. Even better, you can frequently pick it up for the price of a few frequent flyer miles.

It takes too much time to receive the first book. I haven't received the first book yet.

The Address label is wrong for proper delivery. Has street address instead of Post Office Box.
