OPEN ICE HIT!!!! January 11, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
EA is on the money with this one. Physics are awesome, it's great to watch the players glide across the ice, what's more is that you can almost feel the player skate through the controller. Player animations are great; trips, falls, hits, fights, are shown in their accurate glory. Today I was playing & had a player fall loosing his stick, completely awesome. Strategy has definetly been upped this year. You can't do the same play or strategy, you got to switch it up, your opponents learn quick & will be on you like... well like... someone not switching up their plays. I've had several EA Hockey titles, this one by far is the best. EA this year has really shown their knowledge & dedication in other games also, FIFA '08 to name one. In my humble opinion of course. I'm playing the Vancover Canucks in a Dynasty Mode. Not the best team, nor the worst, but this game is accurate in that you generally lose w/ good teams, win w/ poor teams. Sometimes it's vice versa, it's pretty cool to win against a team that is better than you, but you definetly have to work for it. All in all a great hockey game, you will not be disappointed. Ryan
Fun game, a little difficult for younger players January 7, 2008 3 out of 7 found this review helpful
Purchased xbox 360 for the boys this Christmas as well as 2 games - NHL 08 being one of them. The graphics are good, game play is exciting. My children are 12, 8 and 6 and I found this to be a bit difficult for the 8 and 6 yr olds. Would recommend for over 10.
FINALLY December 27, 2007 Last year's EA lineup (NCAA football, Madden and NHL) were less than acceptable. This year, they are the best games I've played since getting the 360 years ago. NHL is the best of all of the EA lineup. There is complete control with the deke, spinning on the ice for free movement and the realism of the goalie making saves. To not make this a long review, 5 out of 5 for fun, 5 out of 5 for challenge.
Awesome NHL game December 23, 2007 This is probably the best NHL series game EA has come out with. Every aspect of the game is improved. Much more difficult to play. No more 18-0 scores in begginer level. It's actually a challenge on the begginer level now. The right stick is used for dekeing, stick handling and shooting. There's a code to enter where you can get all of the new reebok jerseys. All around...probably the best NHL game ever.

My son and I are completely thrilled with NHL 360 (Xbox 360). The realism and A.I. as well as graphics are very impressive. The actual gameplay and feel of the ice are very realistic. Great purchase, thank you.
